Colon Cleanser Types
There are a variety of products to choose from when you are ready to try a colon cleanser. As people have both different preferences and different ailments, many varieties of colons cleansers are on the market, to suit individual needs; this leaves you with multiple options to consider when you are choosing a healthy colon cleanser. Many people believe that one of the best ways to clean your colon is with a product that uses oxygen, since digestion is known to be a process of oxidation. Products with an oxygen base are made to detox the entire twenty-one feet of intestines as well as loosen the impacted material in the lower colon. An oxygen-based colon cleanser turns the undigested material into CO2, waste and water. As the newly transformed waste makes its way out of your system, loose stools are to be expected initially, but oxygen-based products are believed to be easier on the user, and offset any adverse detoxing symptoms. Another type of colon cleanser is made with herbal ingredients, and taken orally. Colon cleanser herbs can include natural psyllium or other cleansing herbs, and two options are to use a product with flaxseed or Bentonite clay, though there are many other effective herbal ingredients for cleansing, as well. Products with these two ingredients work to absorb water and expand in the colon (the clay forms into a gel), allowing the carrying away of pesticides and harmful toxins, as it is passed out of the body. Other types of products require you to drink large volumes of water to wash away the harmful toxins they activate. And even some products are in liquid form, and require you to drink them over a certain period of time, without taking in specific types of food during that time frame, to let the product gather the toxins in your digestive system and properly flush them away.
Though all of the products available on the market are different, there are two basic groups that colon cleansing products fall into: oxygen-based and psyllium-(fiber) based products. Just as mentioned above, the oxygen-based types use oxygen to cleanse the colon, whereas psyllium-based types use fiber to push all the toxins out through the colon. Both have positive and unique benefits, and trying each type and seeing which colon cleanser works best for you will likely be the best way for determining which suits your digestive system best.
